All these things while doing hot stone massage

Never place the hot stone directly on the participant’s skin without moving it. The pictures you see in spa commercials aren’t accurate, they’re just meant to look attractive.

To prevent burns, you should lay down a flannel sheet or towel and then place stones on top of it. Keep in mind that it may take 3-4 minutes for the heat of the stone to penetrate the skin.

First Way 1:-  Please note that you should never make a participant lie on top of hot stones as severe burns can occur.

Way 2 :-  Place four small stones on the participant’s face. Once the participant is seated, take four small stones without oil and place them on the acupressure areas on their face.

Let there be one stone on their forehead, one under their lips, and one on their cheeks. You should avoid applying oil to these stones as it can clog their pores or irritate their skin.

A great option is to apply cold to the face instead of heating the stones as this will help reduce any swelling.

Way 3 :-  Medium to large stones on breastbone, collarbones and hands of participant. Depending on the height and width of the participant, the size of the stones you use may vary.

However, you should try to place one or more stones on either side of their collarbone, with the two larger ones on the breastbone, and two palm-sized stones in their hands.

They do not need to hold onto these, but should instead be completely relaxed and slowly cover the stones.

Way 4:- Use two palm-sized stones to massage the rest of the body. Remove the part of the body you are going to message first, remembering to remove any stones first.

Rub a little oil on the skin and stones. Follow the muscle cords to remove any lumps, turning as needed as the stones cool. When finished, re-cover the area you massaged, replace any stones, and move on to the next area.

Once you have completed the entire massage, remove all the stones.

Way 5:-  Turn the participant over. After massaging the front, ask the participant to lie on their stomach. To make the participant more comfortable, try placing a rolled-up towel under their ankles.

You should also make sure you are turning your stones so that they stay warm.

Way 6:-  Cover the participant and place the stones on the shoulder blades, behind the knees, and between the toes. Choose large stones for shoulder blades and the backs of kneecaps.

For the toes, place a small stone between each one. You should then wrap each foot in a towel to help heat up and hold the stones in place. After applying these, highlight the area you want to massage and rub a little oil into the skin.

Take two palm-sized, oiled stones and use them to massage the participant. As before, cover the massaged area again, replace any stones and move on to the next area

(i) Use stones to massage instead of your hands. Do this by gently moving the stones over the tense, sore areas. The pressure exerted by the stones can be quite strong, but since the participant’s muscles have been sufficiently relaxed by the heating procedure, the procedure should be virtually painless.

(ii) Combine hot stones with other massage techniques. You can try Swedish massage or deep tissue massage. This will help you get the most out of the experience. While stones warm and soothe stiff muscles, other massage techniques can be applied with little or no discomfort – either with stones on the skin or after the stones have been removed.

(iii) Replace hot stones with cold marble stones. Most clients find that after a while, their bodies become so relaxed with hot stone massage techniques, they don’t even notice the temperature change in cold stones. This procedure is often recommended for soothing injuries that result in painful swelling or inflammation.

Heat your stones

Ideally, you should prepare your stones 30-60 minutes before starting your massage. The water should not exceed 130 °F (54 °C). The stones will cool as you use them.

Anything below 110 °F (43 °C) is considered hot stone massage, although it is important to know that a 104 °F (40 °C) stone can still burn someone if it is applied to bare skin for a few minutes.

But be abandoned. To heat the stones, use a Crock-Pot containing at least 6 quarts of water or a large tabletop skillet with the sides about 3 inches (7.6 cm.).

Note that Crock-Pots and similar kitchen appliances heat on a cyclic basis, which means that temperatures can vary and should be monitored closely. It’s better if you can find something with the actual temperature setting rather than low-medium-high.

Use a meat thermometer to monitor the temperature in your Crock-Pot. (Never use a glass thermometer as breakage can occur.) You should also keep the Crock-Pot setting hot or low, as you don’t want the water to boil over. You should massage each stone with a little oil before using it.
