  • Press left on the remote and scroll down to locate Settings
  • Press right on the remote to access Settings
  • Then, head to the Network section. 
  • Press right on the remote to select Network Page
  • Then, select the About page. 
    • See the reference connection type, IP and mac details, signal strength, wireless channel, and download speed. It shows you’re connected to the internet. 
    • But, if the above details are not available, and experiencing the issue, use the Connection tool

If it shows connected, play a streaming app on Roku. See if the problem is resolved. 

Roku is not connected to the internet: 

Contrast to the above situation, if Roku is disconnected and has no internet access, follow these steps below: 

  • Press left on the remote and scroll down to locate Settings
  • Press right on the remote to access Settings. 
  • Then, head to the Network section. 
  • Press right on the remote to select Network Page
  • Scroll down and select Set up connection
  • Then, select Wireless and press the Ok button. 

Wait for the device to scan for nearby wireless networks. It will show you a list of networks. 

  • Select the name of your network and press the Ok button. 
  • Enter the password for the wireless network. 
  • Then, scroll down to Connect
  • Press the Ok button.

1. Restart Your Roku Device

Since Roku is an electronic device, a reboot is a must. It resolved several issues and may also work for Roku. 

Hence, go straight with these steps below: 

  • From the device’s home screen, press Left from the remote. 
  • Scroll down in the side menu
  • Press Right on the remote and select the Settings menu. 
  • Scroll down and stop at System
  • Press Right on the System menu. 
  • Again, scroll down and select System Restart
  • Then, select Restart and press the Ok button. 
  • Wait for some time until the Roku reboot.

Note: For Roku TVs, there is no such option for restart available. Hence, press the power button, unplug the TV cable and then reverse the process. 

2. Restart Your Network Device (Wi-Fi Or Router)

Does the Roku not connect to wi-fi even now? Well, try restarting your network device also. It will eliminate any glitch or disruption in singles.

Hence, go straight with these steps below: 

  • Unplug your wireless router and the device. 
  • Leave the idle for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. 
  • Then, rearrange them.

3. Check DNS Settings

4. Turn Off Network Ping

Sometimes, network ping also creates issues with internet connections. However, turning off the network ping can be a bit tricky

Please note that the settings for network ping are located in the hidden settings menu. Therefore, please keep patience when following these steps below: 

  • Press the Home button 5 times
  • Then, press the Fast Forward button. 
  • Now, press the Play button. 
  • After that, press the Rewind button. 
  • Next, press the Play button again. 
  • At last, press the Fast Forward button.
