After learning about the flaws in the original design and what the developers regarded its “male chauvinist” stance, the company decided against a remake of the game.

According to Metacritic, The Next Big Thing garnered generally positive reviews. However, its initial release on PCs was a commercial failure.

A day later, Liz has vanished, putting Dan’s position at The Quill in jeopardy as he continues to search for evidence. A tape recorder recounts Liz and the Immaterial Man’s plan to hide Big Albert before they were taken by an evil scientist. Dan follows the sarcophagus to Krom-temple Ha’s with only Big Albert as a guide.

What Exactly it means

Using the Poet of Pain’s deranged poetry as an answer to a Rorschach test and pretending to have only 19 days left to live, Professor Fly is persuaded to use him as a guinea pig in an experimental teleportation device that would transport him to Krom-Ha.

He assumes the guise of Amenhotep III and falls in love with Krom-Ha until he discovers a way into the sarcophagus. When he returns Big Albert to Professor Fly, he finds that the brain has been removed.

The brain, on the other hand, is in the possession of FitzRandolph. Liz, the Immaterial Man, and Dr. Zelssius, FitzRandolph’s scientist employee, are now his dinner guests in his private zeppelin. FitzRandolph informs Liz that her mentality would alter within an hour as she plots her escape with the brain.

FitzRandolph loses consciousness, and she takes the brain, which she returns to Dan and Professor Fly on a motorcycle. Moments before FitzRandolph enters with his robots, Big Albert says that FitzRandolph and Dr. Zelssius are utilising brain implants to control individuals. Liz, who has been implanted, is discovered to be under his control. Dr. Zelssius has Dan strapped into a chair in his lab as he gets ready to implant him.

Dr. Zelssius, and catches Liz

Dan escapes, subdues Dr. Zelssius, and catches Liz with the help of Professor Fly. Trying to remove the implant results in a snagged implant, which imprisons Liz in her own subconscious thoughts. Her mental health improves as Dan continues to press her for the whereabouts of the tickets.

At FitzRandolph’s hq, he helps Professor Fly release the other captives of mind control by pretending to be an implant. Liz escapes from Dr. Zelssius’s control after Dan finds the tickets in Liz’s purse. FitzRandolph is discovered to be utilising those implanted to aid his own political campaign in an attempt to counteract societal bigotry against monsters.

FitzRandolph Dan helps Liz make a nasty political ad that exposes FitzRandolph, who unintentionally airs it and destroys himself, by bribing the two most infamous monster actors with the tickets. The Quill rehires Dan as a result of Dan and Liz’s scoop, and a flashforward shows them as an old married couple. Dan acted as the game’s nameless narrator.
