Cheapest Protein Powder

Cheapest Protein Powder
Choosing a protein powder can be hard. If you weren’t aware, however, they all basically have the same exact stuff in them. All the fancy terms they use on the tub are almost always actually just proprietary names for the same ingredients in every other similar powder. With that in mind, I believe the best way for most people to buy protein powder is to find the cheapest protein you can and buy that. There is one major caveat, however: dietary supplements (including protein powders) are extremely loosely regulated, so they may in fact be misleading you about the quality or quantity of ingredients in their product. Therefore, you will want to buy cheap protein from trustworthy companies. To help you narrow it down, I have come up with a list of trustworthy protein powders that are often among the cheapest that you can buy. From there, it is up to you to make a decision based on price, taste, etc. Names That Mean Death

Disclaimer: Before I jump into it, I want to point out that I realize that these protein powders I am recommending are not the absolute cheapest on the market. That is because actually verifying the quality of any of the really cheap stuff is extremely difficult without very expensive equipment. Therefore, I think it is well worth it to pay an extra ten or twenty cents per serving in order to be actually sure you are getting the protein that the label claims you are (some protein companies have been known to have very misleading labels that misrepresent how much protein they actually contain). However, if you do want to order the ABSOLUTE cheapest protein and take the risk, I would recommend looking at Body Fortress Whey or Met-RX Ultramyosyn Whey.

Protein Blends (My Favorite)
Blends of whey/casein/egg protein can be an excellent source of all around protein. In addition, research has shown that this protein may actually be better than regular whey protein after a workout.

1. Nitrocore 24 – This is an excellent blend that is designed for night use but based on the current research I recommend using this as an all-purpose protein supplement. As of now, this costs around $60 for a tub, but fortunately for that price you get 6 lbs and 56 servings, but you could probably get a few more out of it as they are big scoops.

2. Trutein – Trutein is definitely my favorite tasting protein. The cinnamon role flavor is fantastic. It is also a very good value considering the quality of the product.

Whey Protein Powders
1. Cytosport Complete Whey – This whey protein is in my opinion the best value you can find. Cytosport is a very reputable company that could not afford to tarnish their reputation with deceptively formulated products, and this product is independently certified to not contain contaminants. There are also 81 servings per tub, which makes this a FANTASTIC value. In addition, it is very delicious, which is always a nice bonus with protein powders.

2. Trutein Whey Protein – I have never personally tried this protein powder, but trutein is known for their excellent flavors. This is also very cheap and from a reputable brand.

3. Optimum Nutrition Gold-Standard – Optimum nutrition has a very good name, and this protein powder is excellent. Definitely recommended if you can find a good deal on it.

Casein Protein Powder
Casein powder tends to be very expensive, and honestly I would recommend that you get a blend instead. But if you really want to find a good one, here are a few that are reasonably priced.

1. Optimum Nutrition Casein – This isn’t super cheap, but it is from a trustworthy brand. Most people do not use a lot of casein anyway, so this small size should still last a while.

2. Muscle Pharm Combat Powder – I have never tried this personally, but it has very good reviews. It also is a very good price for how much you get, so it could be worth a try.
